Headcanon #3: Nettle Tea

It may be her favourite drink now, but it wasn’t always. On a night when a young Valeria was feeling cold (which was particularly uncommon), her mother had specially brewed a pot of nettle tea, hoping it will warm her daughter up. It was the first ingredient she could find, her mother claims. Although Valeria had disliked the taste the second the tea touched her tongue, she did not want to disappoint her mother nor spoil her efforts and the tender moment between them and had forcefully admitted her liking to the tea. From then on, her mother would always make Valeria nettle tea, not knowing her true feelings about it. Eventually, it became part of her daily routine, and she grew to tolerate the taste. While at Hogwarts, the mere smell of nettle would take her back to memories of home, and of that day her mother showed a rare affection.
